Location Won't Change Who You Are

Moving from a third world country to a developed country does not change who you are or what you are worth. It doesn't change the principles of success, money or life. It does not change your finance. It does not make you better or worst.

Archbishop Benson Idahosa once said "a lizard in Nigeria will not become a crocodile in America". He said this to address the mindset of so many in third world countries. Mindset like: if only I could go to any western nation (US, UK, CANADA etc.), if I could go to any of those countries that look so beautiful in the movies and magazines, then my life would change.

Truth be told, it never happens that way.  In fact, it is a big lie.
The principle that governs finance in the country where you are, governs finance in the country where you are going to. If you require hard work to be successful in your home country probably a third world country, you'll also require hard work or even more to be successful in that  developed country far away from home.

A change in location does not change the fact that you have to develop yourself, work to earn a living, be qualified enough to gain employment in a particular field, be a citizen to enjoy certain benefits… The list goes on and on.

It is better to see things the way they truly are and be happy with yourself than to live in a lie and end up with regrets. A word they say is enough for the wise.

Location does not change who you are but it does change your possibilities, expectations, reality and results.
